Buzzsumo is one of the best tools out there for finding content ideas. Just enter in a topic, and it’ll show you the most popular articles on that topic. You can also see how many social shares each article has, so you can get an idea of what’s resonating with people.
Plus, it’s free, And while they offer a paid pro version, the basic tool is all you need to start creating awesome blog posts.
For example, I typed in coffee and found the top-shared coffee-related articles from some of my favorite sites like The Huffington Post, The Independent, Cafe Mom, The Daily Meal, Thrillist, and Elite Daily.
One thing I liked about this is it didn’t just show me articles about coffee: it showed me all kinds of topics related to coffee because bloggers write about everything.
Quora content idea generator
Quora is a Q&A platform with millions of users. You can use the search function to find questions related to your niche, then answer those questions in your blog post. This is a great way to come up with ideas that are relevant to your audience and that they’ll actually want to read about.
Get involved in discussions happening around topics within your niche. You can also submit questions to these communities by using the Ask Question button on the top right-hand side of the screen.
Once you’ve created an account, you’ll be able to customize your feed by following different topics and receiving updates as people post new answers or questions.

Google Trends is a great way to see what topics are currently trending upward. You can use the insights from Google Trends to help you come up with ideas for your next blog post. Just enter in a few keywords related to your topic and see what comes up as shown in this video tutorial.
A lot of times, I’ll do this for a specific word that I think might be good to include in my content. For example, if I were writing about baking desserts, I might type baking desserts into Google Trends and then click on search.
The results will show me how many people have been searching for baking desserts over time as well as which states and countries have had the most searches.
From there, I could take these findings and use them to write more detailed blog posts that answer popular questions related to baking desserts or make it easier for people who live in those areas to find recipes they like or ingredients they need. Not only will this help you create better blog posts, but it also gives you insight into which sites might be worth targeting with your own content creation efforts.
Start by entering a competitor or competitor group site URL into the search bar on Similar Web and then click on Site under the Overview tab to see a list of similar websites in your category.
Then, scroll down to the bottom of their page and look at People Talking About. Scrolling through this page may give you some ideas for potential blog post topics.
